Librarians and Out-of-Schooltime Educators

Mixing in Math is a perfect fit for club leaders, children's librarians, science center staff, and other informal educators. No special math background or training is needed to lead the activities.

Some of the activities focus on issues common to many programs, such as building trust and respect, making crafts, sharing food, and filling a few minutes of down time. Others fit well with themes such as science, outdoor exploration, fitness, and cooking.

To find something right for your group, look over the activities on this site and check the level of difficulty, group size, context (e.g., cooking, fitness, literacy) and variations.
